Siena Town, our favourite in Italy

Siena town is seriously amazing and unlike any other we had seen up to this point in Italy, as well as to now. In Siena, you feel as if you are in medieval times and expect knights to turn around corners and carriages transporting royalty to pass you by. The city is very old and is made up of many steep and cobbled roads that surround a main town square with the most exquisite church.

Our first night, we were so happy and in such a good mood to stumble upon this amazing place.

A square lit up at night which we both agree is more beautiful than in the day. This is the case with most of Italy actually..

The main town square and Church, this photo really does not do justice to its size and design.

Steep cobbled road with tratorrias and bars.

The Church and view of the old town right outside our hotel.

Gorgeous pasticcerie and deli. I would be in heaven if I had to shop for groceries here every couple of days!

These old paintings are literally on every Street in Italy. They are usually of Mary, Jesus or a local saint and when lit up in the night time, are very beautiful.

Look out point from the town into the surrounding countryside.

Vespa and strength of love over the years. Watched them for a while, they were very sweet.

Dyl with a little case of cabin fever...
