Florence was another incredible city, oozing with history, culture, art and ...tourists! Note to self that next time we would prefer to come in the dead of winter to avoid the queues and crowds..But we still had an enchanting experience and it has definitely left a little print on our hearts.
This was our room in Florence, we loved this bed and breakfast so much! It had three rooms and was on the top floor of a block, a stones throw from the centre. The owner was an architect and the property was full of quirky interiors and very awesome art pieces while still being elegant and tasteful.
Replica of the Statue of David..
Ponte Vecchio Bridge, the oldest bridge in Florence.
Amazing tratorria we dined at called La Fonticine. The interior was exquisite and the waiters were all in their traditional white aprons. The food was sublime!
We ordered an artichoke and parmesan salad to start and were tickled pink when this arrived. The crust is a sort of shell of parmesan and the artichokes were inside, it was incredible!
I ordered one of the house specialities, a saffron and parmesan risotto..no words really..
Breakfast at our bed and breakfast, the pastries are a local delight of Florence. Pear and chocolate...these caused wide eyes first thing in the morning and were on another level of taste.
